Perfect for solo travelers seeking comfort
Very pleased to have found this place! The owners were friendly, and I felt perfectly safe as a solo traveler. Breakfast was good but the real gem was how clean everything was, especially the room and shared bathroom. Plus, the fact that it's located in a quiet area where I could unwind after a long day was priceless. One morning, I even had a nice chat with the cleaning lady, she offered to clean my room after the first night, which was a really nice touch even though I didn’t need it.

Perfect stay with friendly vibes
Had a really nice stay. The room was super clean, and despite the busy road outside, it was quiet at night. The breakfast was massive and tasty! Both the landlord and landlady were so friendly. Just a short stroll to the River Wear and the city center. Only bummer was the lounge area felt a bit cramped sometimes.

The stay was wonderful, with the room being spotlessly clean and the bed comfortable enough, allowing for a great night's sleep. The location was incredibly convenient, just a short walk from the city centre, and there were fantastic dining options nearby, including a Vietnamese restaurant and a Lebanese takeaway. I particularly enjoyed the excellent breakfast that was both appetizing and reasonably priced. Just a heads up though, the beds were a bit soft for my personal taste, but that’s a minor detail given the overall positive experience.

The room was clean and comfortable, a pleasant surprise after navigating the sticky carpets on the stairs. The cooked breakfast was a highlight, especially the smoked fish, though the preparation seemed basic. While the staff were ultra-friendly and pleasant, the cleanliness of the stair carpet needs attention for a better first impression.
